I’m not sure when September got here, but it showed up before I even knew it. I’m now back home in Colorado after a summer of traveling around the world. It’s been good to sleep in my own bed and be back on Uintah St. with my roommate Tra’Cee. But I know the comforts of home will soon be gone.
Things already look different as I pack boxes and have an enormous moving sale pile in the middle of our dining room. Anyone who lives in the Colorado Springs area and wants to come check out the sale it will be on Friday and Saturday, September 22 and 23.
What I’m finding is that it’s hard to just pack up your heart and go. I can go through every bit of the location change, and yet I still have to slowly pack up my heart even after I get to Austria. And then unpack it again as I discover myself in a new place, with new people and a different routine. Know that I am excited for those discoveries and how God will show up in ways I may have never dreamed. But I appreciate your prayers for my heart as I slowly pack up and prepare to be all there.
My financial support is coming along. I want to express again and again how grateful I am for each of you who have joined me on this journey both in prayer, encouragement and financially. And if you haven’t received a thank-you note, it’s coming. Thanks for your patience! God is stretching me in all of these support areas, but especially in giving Him my finances. It’s cool to see how He provides in little ways. I find that my eyes are more aware of those little ways when I’m not expecting another paycheck anytime soon.
There are so many details to take care of in such a short amount of time. And I’ve hit bottom realizing that Krishana can’t perfectly complete all that’s involved by herself and make everyone happy in the process. This morning I wrote a list of the expectations I have for myself in these next few days, ripped them up and threw them away. I pray that God will give me His expectations, direction and peace as I step with Him. One step, one moment, one more breath.
Thanks for coming with me!
Krishana! It’s great to hear from you and I’m excited about your new ministry. Who are you going with/through? How’s the German coming along? My Spanish is finally at a place where I can really communicate now, after six months of living here. Blessings on you and keep in touch!
