saying goodbye

Thursday night was full of goodbyes. I found it hard to say goodbye to Suza and Irene. They both had tears in their eyes as we parted. I looked forward to continuing a relationship with them via e-mail. And trust that God will bring more people into their lives to love on them and challenge them.

coming home

I’ve grown in my love for Austria over the past couple months. We drove for 3 hours from Budapest, Hungary on Saturday in the rain. Then as we got closer to Vienna the rain stopped and the sun came out and you could see hills (and the IKEA) from a distance. I jumped up and down when we finally took our bags into the house. I was excited to be back.

Yesterday I spent some time with Susanne, one of our DTS staff members. She had to leave this morning to go back to Germany. I enjoyed sharing stories and laughs with her during this short time we had. A highlight was having Apfel Strudel and Wiener Melange (coffee with steamed milk/a Vienna favorite) at a cafe in Baden, Austria.

We’ve started the debriefing process this morning and it will continue through Thursday night. Tra’Cee arrives on Wednesday night, so pray for her travels and dealing with jet-lag.

I head back to Colorado on March 14! I’m excited to go back, but realize that God’s calling me back here soon.

Can’t wait to see each of you!
