On Wednesday my mom and I took Kaleb to the zoo. I think he enjoyed watching the other kids even more than the animals. We had good weather and a lot of fun. I was exhausted when we got back. Our favorite part was when we saw the new baby elephant and chasing the ducks/geese.
a missions update
All of my paperwork, exams, etc. are completed and mailed to Greater Europe Mission in Colorado Springs. I talked to one of the GEM staff today who gave me an idea of what kind of money I’d need to raise to get going and keep things running while in Austria. It’s going to be an estimate of $3,000-$4,000 per month. I know, that’s a big chunk of change. Honestly, it brings me to my knees. If this is the path God desires me to go down then all I can do is trust Him to provide. I say that with tears in my eyes because it’s so hard to trust sometimes. Even in the small things, let alone the BIG things. Or what seems like BIG things.
I haven’t been officially accepted by Greater Europe Mission. I should find out if I’ll be attending the June orientation (9-15) in a couple weeks. I’ll let you know when I find out. I’d appreciate your prayers as I continue to seek God for that next step.
what are you going to do now?
You know the question that comes after someone has won a big sporting event or lots of money — “What are you going to do now?” Well, I haven’t acquired any contest money or won a competition. But I still have the token answer to that question. “I’m going to Disney World!” Because I really am going to Disney with my family. We leave tomorrow morning and will be gone until Tuesday. Actually this is a pretty nice vacation for someone who is unemployed right now. I’m blessed by my parents’ generosity! I’m glad I get to spend this time with them!
Blessings to you!
