100% in 100 days

This week many of you will receive a postcard in the mail reminding you to pray BIG for this ministry and reaching a goal of 100% in 100 days. As I prepared to leave Colorado I prayed that God would take me to 60% of monthly support and while I’m waiting for a few more pledge cards I believe that I am at that point. Praise God! Can you believe that in September I was still at 40% and now in October I can say that I’m at 60%? Amazing!

Also before I left Colorado I asked God what this next season of support raising should look like. I began reading some support-raising resources about people who raised their entire monthly support amount in 100 days. Wow! In my head I pictured sending out a postcard with this picture (below).

I hope you see the 100 spelled out with the bike pump and tires. So I borrowed a friend’s bike pump and tires, set up this photo, created postcards and am asking you to join me in praying from October 27 through February 3 that God will bring in 100% of support in the next 100 days.

presumption versus faith
Something I’ve learned during this journey and was confirmed to me again this morning is that God desires for me to be a woman of faith, not a woman of presumption. Honestly, God hasn’t revealed to me or confirmed to me that He desires to open the doors for the last 40% of my support to be raised in 100 days. However, I want to lean on the side of a BIG faith in Him because I know He can do this if He desires to. And regardless of what happens I will praise Him.

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of deer, he enables me to go on the heights” (Habakkuk 3:17-19). Check out Daniel 3 and the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They claimed that the Lord could easily save their lives from the fiery furnace, but even if He chose not to that He would still be glorified.

I’m not saying I’m going to play it safe and only pray for what I think could really happen. I want to be in a place of stepping out, jumping out, riding out in a place of vulnerability so I don’t miss what God wants to do. The BIG things He desires to do. I want to be there when He decides to move.

what does this look like?
I’m looking for 20 more people to join my team. Here’s the breakdown of how you can pray:

10 people @ $75 per month ($750)
6 people @ $100 per month ($600)
3 people @ $200 ($600)
1 person @ $300 ($300)
Total: 20 people @ $2250 of monthly support

I know this is a hard time financially for so many people, but I can’t help but shout that our God is a BIG God, and during the week of the bailout He was moving in BIG ways to get me to 60% of support. Just think of the investment you’re making that won’t fluctuate because of the stock market. The investment that you have made both in faithful prayer and financial support will change lives for eternity. Definitely not because of me, but because of what God desires to do in the lives of youth in Austria. Pray that others would see the eternal investment they would make in joining this team on a monthly basis.

I’d love to hear your heart and thoughts on what you’ve learned about faith in God, especially right now. Thank you ahead of time for joining me in prayer! And for those of you I haven’t contacted personally about prayer requests, I haven’t forgotten about you. I will call soon!

Blessings!
