summertime joys

Happy Fourth! Today is a celebration of our country’s independence, but it’s also my cousin’s wedding day. Kaleb is once again a ring-bearer and we’re praying he doesn’t run down the aisle with the pillow (as if it was a football). 😉

Yes, I have so much more on my heart that I need to write and share, but today I need to simply share some smiles. You may think I’m strange, but this summer: deodorant, Spider Man, pirate ships and turquoise heels have made me smile and sometimes even laugh out loud. Check out these photos from summer:

This is a joke between my former roommates who lived on Old Ranch Rd. with me. We would hide this brand of deodorant in rooms of our house or in our suitcase if we were going on a special trip. Tussy has been to many States across our country as well as to France and New Zealand. Here is a photo of a special Tussy wedding display I created for a friend who recently got engaged. I told her this could be her new cake-topper.

Spider Man with webbed feet?! Check out these goggles.

OK, so I’m not sure if I really bought this for Kaleb or for myself. I mean, what kid (or kid at heart) doesn’t want a pirate ship for the pool. It comes with a squirt gun and everything. I love spoiling that boy!

I’m wearing these shoes to the wedding with a dark brown dress. I’m not one to buy shoes outside of the “neutral zone.” I’m excited to try these out and got them for a great deal — only $20 at the Nine West Outlet.

I hope you’re having a great summer and are celebrating the big and little joys. I’ll post again real soon.
