Sometimes I travel into the city center early and eat lunch. Yes, it’s still cold here, but regardless I enjoy this eating spot in Michaelerplatz. In the center of Michaelerplatz there are the Roman ruins. I’ve shown picture of this Vienna spot a few years ago. Right now there is too much snow. You just can’t find spots like this in Indiana. This building is the Michael Wing of the Hofburg residence built in the 18th century.
The building on the right contains Cafe Griensteidl where many young Viennese journalists met from 1890 until 1897 to discuss and write, which was a part of Vienna’s Modern movement.
