things have taken a turn

Hello from Union Mills, North Carolina. I’m in the last 9 days of Equipping for Cross-Cultural ministry and I can say that I have learned a ton and been stretched in many ways. As for my health, on Friday I went to the doctor here in the area at the request of my Indiana physician. My first mono test came back negative, so my doctor in Indiana wanted to see if it would come up positive in a few weeks. Again, my mono test came back negative. The doctors I saw here in NC request for the next step to be a CT scan and a biopsy of one of my lymph nodes because of my enlarged lymph nodes and very enlarged spleen.

After discussing this with my physician and my family I’ve decided to leave my CIT training early to go home and have further testing. I would rather be with my family and at home if I need to go through some sort of surgery. All this to say, I will be leaving North Carolina on Friday or Saturday and driving back with my dad who is flying here sometime at the end of this week (pray for him and safety in travel). I’ll head into the doctor on Monday, March 8 and then we’ll go from there.

I would appreciate your prayers and will keep you updated as I know more of what’s going on with my body.

Blessings!

  1. Praying for you! May all symptoms disappear and may all tests be negative so we can all just shout, “Praise the Lord!” Blessings,
