It was early September 2012 and I had recently learned that cancer had returned. I had only been in Vienna, Austria since January 2011 and had just begun to step into more youth ministry opportunities. I wasn’t sure what would happen as this cancer relapse unfolded. However, in my time with the Lord, He led me to Psalm 118. I can’t remember how I got to this psalm, but there was a verse that caught my attention:
“I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done” (Psalm 118:17 NIV).
Besides this verse in my Bible I wrote, 9-4-2012 – possible relapse.

Proclaiming What the Lord Has Done
Today, I celebrate that I did not die, but am alive to proclaim what the Lord has done. Recently, I got to share my story for a women’s retreat in Germany and encourage their hearts that God is with them in whatever they face and there is JOY to be found in the journey. I hope and pray that you know that, too. Thanks for celebrating with me!
